This porcelain Gaiwan is ideal for steeping and drinking tea in a traditional Chinese method. Preferred for oolong, green and white teas.
Place the required amount of tea in the cup after rinsing the cup with warm water. Add water at the correct temperature to the cup. When the tea is ready, pick the cup with the saucer and position the lid slightly askew just enough to allow the tea to pour out while retaining the leaves. Can be used for re-steeping 2-3 times.
